  • Registration opens on : Thursday, 1st January 2026
  • Registration closes on : Tuesday, 20th January 2026
  • Video to be recorded and submitted on :
    • Juniors : Sunday, 25th January 2026 (09:00 AM IST to 5:00 PM IST)
    • Seniors : Monday, 26th January 2026 (09:00 AM IST to 5:00 PM IST)

      • ⚠️ Note: Entries recorded or received after 5pm will be rejected

  • Audition/Screening results to be announced by : Saturday, 31st January 2026
  • Live Competition dates :
    • Juniors : Friday, 10th April 2026
    • Seniors : Saturday, 11th April 2026
  • Registration Fees : ₹500 (+ Transaction Fees if applicable)

🎶 Registration Guidelines

📅 Competition Schedule

  • Participants will compete in one of the following two age-based categories:
    • Junior Category : Ages 10 to 15
    • Senior Category : Ages 16 to 25

    ⚠️ Note: Category is assigned automatically by the system based on the date of birth as of 1st January

  • Present a performance as per category requirements:
    • Senior Category : The Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Krithi has to be presented with raaga alapanam, niraval and manodharma swaram within maximum of 15 minutes in total for the presentation. We suggest the participants to choose a krithi of main ragas.
    • Junior Category : The Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Krithi has to be presented without raaga alapanam, niraval or manodharma swaram. Maximum time allotted for the presentation is 10 minutes.

📝 Registration Process

  • Please complete all fields in the registration form accurately and pay the required registration fee when prompted during the registration process.
  • Registration fees paid are non-refundable

🧭 Selection Process

There will be two levels of selection:

1. Audition Round (Online Screening)

This is an online screening based on the video clip you submit.

Participants must :

  • Sing a Maharaja Swathi Thirunal krithi of their choice.
  • All participants who complete the registration and registration fee payment will be added to a WhatsApp group.
  • Participants will be allotted a chest number on the day of the competition before 9:00 AM IST
  • Wear the chest number pinned visibly on their dress.
  • Ensure both face and chest number are clearly visible in the video.
  • Record the video on a smartphone with clear audio and video quality.
  • Include only the participant's voice and shruthi — no accompanying instruments.
  • No editing of the video is permitted. If any editing is identified, the participant will be disqualified and your registration fees forfeited.
  • Upload the video to Google Drive and share the link as instructed.
  • The description of the uploaded video should contain:
    1. Chest Number
    2. Name of the Krithi
    3. Raga of the Krithi
    4. Tala of the Krithi
    No other details should be included in the uploaded video description.
  • Each applicant is allowed to submit only one video clip.
  • Please record a krithi. Thillanas and Bhajans should not be recorded.

⚠️ Note: If the above points are not followed, your application/registration will be disqualified.

Based on the evaluation, selected candidates will be notified for the Live Competition.

2. Live Competition

  • Location : Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, Kerala
  • Dates:
    • Juniors : Friday, 10th April 2026
    • Seniors : Saturday, 11th April 2026
  • Candidates will perform live in front of a panel of judges

🏆 Results

  • Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the live competition, following the judges' deliberation.
  • The decision of the judging panel will be final.
